ProfileCreative Touch Interiors Peggy Hull, ASID
Peggy Hull’s love of interior design grew from her involvement in the custom building of her own home, as well as from her lifelong interest in history, architecture and the decorative arts. A native Houstonian, Peggy graduated from the University of Texas and the University of Houston with Education Degrees. Formerly, an elementary teacher and fitness instructor, the designer turned her talents toward a new career eighteen years ago which brought her to HCC where she studied Interior Design. Thus began her work with custom homebuilders in the 1990’s. She has been helping her clients achieve good design and great style ever since.
To create a personalized environment for each client, Ms. Hull takes a team approach to the designer-client relationship. This requires an insight into each individual’s style and taste and combining those with “tools of the trade” to create a décor that gives a sense of home. Each new design begins with a complete house analysis to define the client’s needs, designate goals, time frames, and budget.
Peggy’s experience of sixteen years as the sole proprietor of Creative Touch Interiors has resulted in award winning designs published locally and on the national level. Ms. Hull’s design talents have been showcased in the Sweetwater Street of Dreams, CASA Fort Bend Christmas Tour, and published in both Fort Bend and Houston Lifestyle. Peggy has been one of featured designers selected to participate in numerous ASID Showcase Homes. In 2006, Ms. Hull spoke on “The Ten Key Principles for a Well Designed Room” at both the Galveston and Houston Home and Interior trade shows. Peggy’s community commitment extends to her volunteer work as part of the design and implementation team for the local PBS set design. After many years of involvement in American Society of Interior Designers, Peggy was recently elected by her peers to serve as President of the Texas Gulf Coast Chapter for the upcoming term of 2008-2009.
